Final Friday OTR Skate – Halloween Edition

Final Friday OTR SkateJoin Far-I-Rome Productions in collaboration with the Cincinnati Film Festival and the Cincinnati Rollergirls for the Halloween edition of the Final Friday OTR Skate! The fourth and final OTR Skate of 2011 takes place October 28, 2011 at the Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center, 1715 Republic St., Cincinnati, OH 45202.

In the spirit of Halloween, costumes are encouraged (tip: avoid costumes that could get caught under someone’s skates!). The OTR Rec Center will also be taking new and gently used Halloween costumes and bagged candy for kids at the Rec Center.

The Cincinnati Rollergirls will be on site to offer 5-minute skate lessons and demos, and the Cincinnati Film Festival will be screening scary short films by local filmmakers. The OTR Skate will feature DJ sets by DJs Apryl Reign and Diamonn Gurr, free Wii, ping pong, pool and foosball and an after party at the Drinkery starting at 11 pm.

Cover for the OTR Skate is $3, which includes skate rentals. Proceeds benefit the Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center to fund youth programming. The OTR Skate is an 18 and up event.

FINAL FRIDAY OTR SKATE is a bi-monthly adult skate held on Final Friday at the Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center.  The event is highlighted by live DJs and interactive art installations, as well as support from local food and goods vendors. The OTR Skate is designed as both a unique Final Friday experience and community outreach effort – a portion of the proceeds benefit the OTR Rec Center, and many of the artists and musicians involved have offered their services in support of the effort.

FAR-I-ROME PRODUCTIONS is an independent special events production company that focuses on unifying the music & arts community under one roof through innovative events.  Founded in 2010, Far-I-Rome Productions has spanned genres and brought together the corners of the cities with events like the Clifton Heights Music Festival, Turntables ‘n’ Snares, Tune-In Park and the Final Friday OTR Skate.  Far-I-Rome Productions is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
