OTR Brewery District Master Plan: “A Strategy for Repopulating Our Neighborhood”
With (hazy) memories of Bockfest fresh in our memory, now is a good time to take a serious look the OTR Brewery District‘s future. Thankfully, the Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corp. (BDCURC) has taken an important step toward that end by creating the 2011 Brewery District Master Plan. The plan was professionally prepared by glaserworks, a Cincinnati architectural and urban design firm.
You can read the BDCURC’s description of the process and the plan on its website or on this page.
The entire master plan has been uploaded to this site and divided by section:
- The Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation
- Gathering Input and Producing The Plan
- Defining The Brewery District
- Defining The Brewery District’s Problems
- A Coordinated Strategy
- BDCURC Will Do It:
- Partnering:
- Encouraging:
- Conclusions
Take a look at the document. I plan to delve deeper into it in the next several posts.
This may seem obvious, but shouldn’t there be a Cincinnati Brewing Museum in the Brewery District?
Yes, there should be!
